We are constantly in need of funds to improve the facilities and services at the Caribbean Court Day Centre.
The Elders’ Transport Fund
We have recently replaced our obsolete minibus – the bus that is used to transport elders to and from their daily sessions at the Caribbean Court Day Centre and to take them on visits and excursions. Safe and reliable transport is vital to the services we offer to elders across the city and county of Leicestershire.
We have committed to monthly repayments to meet the £46,000 cost to replace our old bus with a brand new, high quality, wheelchair accessible bus. The bus is valued at over £70,000, but we have triggered a VAT exemption clause. The monthly repayment cost is £823. This is a challenging sum! However, we believe that as a community we can achieve this.
We need 100 individuals to commit to a regular donation of £10 per month to cover the repayments (60 months) and some running costs.
